The Ponte hotel and restaurant is in the centre of the village of Cosola, 950 metres above sea level, surrounded by Mounts Ebro, Chiappo, and Cavalmurone, in the picturesque “border of the four regions” and on the “salt road”.
Just a few hundred metres away is the ridge that marks the meeting point of the four regions of Piedmont, Liguria, Emilia Romagna and Lombardy.

The “Ponte” first opened in 1832 as a carriage attendants’ inn, when Luigi Negro, great-great-grandfather of the current owner Giovanna Negro, set up a suitable establishment near the picturesque Cosorella stream, close to the Cosola bridge; it was a place of refuge and refreshment for wayfarers and mule drivers passing through the area.

In 1967 and 2005 we were awarded the gold medal for commitment to business and economic progress. In 2005 and 2006 we ranked among the top three Italian restaurants in the “typical regional restaurant” category of the “Italian Hospitality Prize”, and we were awarded the “Emilio Lancellotti Special Prize”.
